Montana State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on a multi-institution collaboration developing cognitive diagnostic assessments for introductory physics and calculus. The successful candidate will contribute to large-scale assessment development, Bayesian and psychometric modeling, and mixed-methods STEM education research.

The work focuses on the LASSO (Learning About STEM Student Outcomes) platform and the development of our suite of cognitive diagnostics for calculus and physics.

The Student Engagement Specialist contributes to high-impact learning experiences across the university by supporting student-facing instructional development and academic engagement initiatives. They will assist with training, mentorship, instructional observations, and ongoing program evaluation and improvement for programs supporting undergraduate and graduate students. They will mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to student employees in embedded support roles - LAs and others.
